To enhance safety, the bq24172RGYT features a programmable charge timer and monitors battery temperature to prevent charging outside of a specified temperature range. Additionally, Dynamic Power Management (DPM) reduces charge current when the input power limit is reached, preventing overloading of the adapter. The charger also includes a power path selector to ensure the system is connected to the most appropriate power source
