With its 16-bit General Purpose Input/Output expansion for I²C-bus/SMBus applications, the NCA9595PWJ is a versatile GPIO expander designed to operate within a wide voltage range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V. Equipped with interrupt and default pull-up resistors on GPIOs, this device is well-suited for applications requiring additional IOs while minimizing interconnections. The NCA9595 features a range of registers including input, output, configuration, polarity inversion, and configuration pull-up, providing extensive flexibility for customizing IOs based on specific requirements. Additionally, the open-drain interrupt output ensures efficient monitoring of GPIO changes, enhancing the overall performance and reliability of the device. The inclusion of three address pins A0, A1, and A2 enables easy configuration of the I²C bus slave address, allowing for the seamless integration of up to eight devices on the same I²C-bus/SMBus.
