MAX1044CPA Allgemeine Beschreibung

The MAX1044 is a voltage converter and inverter IC (integrated circuit) produced by Maxim Integrated (now part of Analog Devices, Inc.). It is designed to take a single positive voltage supply and generate dual supplies, including both positive and negative voltages.  The MAX1044 is a monolithic, CMOS-based voltage converter. It can perform several voltage conversion functions, including inversion, doubling, dividing, or multiplying a positive input voltage. The MAX1044 is pin-compatible with industry-standard ICs such as the ICL7660 and LTC1044, making it a drop-in replacement for these devices. It operates reliably over an input voltage range from 1.5V to 10V. Unlike some voltage converters, the MAX1044 doesn't require an external diode for operation. It can deliver up to 10mA of output current with a minimal output voltage drop of 0.5V. The MAX1044 features a BOOST pin that can increase the oscillator frequency beyond the audio band, reducing the size requirements for external capacitors.
