MAX1978ETM+ Allgemeine Beschreibung
The MAX1978ETM is a highly advanced single-chip temperature controller designed specifically for Peltier thermoelectric cooler (TEC) modules. It features on-chip power FETs and thermal control-loop circuitry, minimizing the need for external components while maintaining high efficiency. The selectable 500kHz/1MHz switching frequency and unique ripple-cancellation scheme optimize component size and efficiency, while reducing noise. The internal MOSFETs are optimized for switching speed to minimize noise and EMI. Additionally, the temperature stability is maintained at an impressive ±0.001°C thanks to an ultra-low-drift chopper amplifier. Furthermore, the controller directly controls output current rather than voltage to eliminate current surges and maximize TEC protection with individual heating and cooling current and voltage limits in place. With these features, the MAX1978ETM stands out as the smallest, safest, and most accurate temperature controller available for TEC modules
