Suitable for a diverse array of devices, the TPS65094 device emerges as a single-chip power management integrated chip (PMIC) with a specific focus on the latest Intel™ processors utilized in tablets, ultrabooks, notebooks, industrial PCs, and Internet-of-Things (IOT) applications. With compatibility for 2S, 3S, or 4S Li-Ion battery packs and wall-powered setups, the TPS65094 device offers a comprehensive power management solution tailored for essential systems. By integrating low-voltage rails, this PMIC achieves a compact footprint and a cost-effective system-power solution. The TPS65094 device is aligned with the Intel Reference Designs and encompasses six highly efficient step-down voltage regulators, a sink or source LDO, and a load switch. These components are governed by power-up sequence logic, ensuring the provision of proper power rails, sequencing, and protection, including support for DDR3 and DDR4 memory power. Furthermore, the BUCK1 and BUCK2 regulators extend support for dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) to maximize efficiency and accommodate Connected Standby. Leveraging small inductors and capacitors, the high-frequency VRs contribute to a compact solution size, while the I2C interface streamlines control, allowing for convenient management by an embedded controller (EC) or a system on chip (SoC). The PMIC is presented in an 8-mm × 8-mm single-row VQFN package with a thermal pad, ensuring efficient thermal dissipation and simplified board routing, making it an optimal choice for power management requirements in modern applications
